Product Details & Geometry
Roman Tri – real speed, real adjustability

The Roman Tri frameset is a modern time trial and triathlon platform built for riders who want a genuinely fast bike they can actually get comfortable and aero on.

It takes the same current, high-hand front-end philosophy as our top-tier EVO frame and combines it with a race-focused TT chassis that’s ready for club 10s, 25s, long-course tri and everything in between.

If you’re fed up with TT bikes that look aero but are impossible to adjust, the Tri is designed to be the opposite.

Properly adjustable, usable cockpit
A lot of TT / tri bikes ship with front ends that are either outdated or a nightmare to tweak. The Roman Tri is built around a front end you can actually work with:
• Fully adjustable poles and extensions – height, reach and angle can be tuned to suit your body, not the other way round.
• Modern high-hand design – current aero style that makes it easier to get into (and stay in) a fast yet sustainable position.
• Easy evolution over time – start a touch conservative, then lower, lengthen or rotate as your flexibility and strength improve, without needing to rip the whole front end off.

The goal is simple: give you a cockpit that lets you find your fastest shape, not just the one the catalogue shows.

Wide fork for modern wheels
The Tri is built around disc brakes and modern, wide-rim aero wheels:
• Wide fork blades and rear stays to comfortably clear contemporary deep rims.
• Geometry and stiffness aimed at feeling stable and predictable, even with big front wheels and gusty crosswinds.
• Clean, purposeful look that works with the wheel rather than fighting it.

Run your favourite deep-section wheels with confidence – no weird handling, no tight clearances, no compromises.

Fast where you actually race
The Roman Tri is designed with real courses and real conditions in mind:
• UK-style TT courses with rougher tarmac, roundabouts and broken rhythm
• Triathlon courses where you need to stay aero for long stretches without destroying your run legs
• Training miles in everyday British weather, not just blue-sky photos

Rather than chasing a single headline drag number, the Tri aims for a balance of aerodynamics, stability and rideability so you can stay in position and keep applying power when the road and weather aren’t perfect.

Who the Roman Tri is for
The Tri frameset is a great fit if you’re:
• Racing club 10s, 25s, 50s and 100s and want a dedicated TT bike
• A triathlete who wants a modern aero position that’s actually sustainable
• Upgrading from an older, awkward TT bike that’s hard to adjust
• Looking for a serious, race-ready TT / tri platform without going all the way to the very top of the range

Build it your way
Pair the Roman Tri frameset with:
• Your choice of groupset (mechanical or electronic where compatible)
• Modern disc brake aero wheels matched to your courses and budget
 • A professional TT / Tri bike fit to unlock the full potential of the adjustable front end

We can help with every step – frame size, cockpit setup, wheel choice and full build spec – so you end up with a bike that’s genuinely fast for you.

“I’ve ridden a lot of bikes over the years from big-name brands to custom builds but the Roman Aero has genuinely surprised me. The first thing that stands out is how balanced it feels. It’s aero and fast when you’re on the gas, but still smooth enough to hold speed over rough roads or longer efforts. The front end feels planted really confidence-inspiring on descents and when you sprint, there’s no hesitation. You can feel every watt going straight into forward motion. Paired with the Laminar wheels, it’s properly rapid. The whole setup feels like it’s been designed by people who understand racers not just engineers or marketers. After a few weeks of racing and training on it, I can honestly say it’s a bike I’d happily race all season. It’s quick, comfortable, and looks incredible in the black finish. Roman have nailed it.” Ollie Peckover UK Road & Time Trial Winner | Roman Bikes Ambassador

Chris Opie Roman Superlight Review “I’ve ridden a lot of bikes in my time from pro team setups to the latest test bikes in the industry and the Roman Superlight instantly felt like a proper race bike. I only had an hour on it, but that was enough to know it’s the real deal. The response when you accelerate is sharp, and the handling feels dialled in straight away light, fast, and composed. You can tell it’s been built with racers in mind. It’s the kind of bike that makes you want to push harder the moment you get on it.” Chris Opie Ex-Professional Cyclist | Former GCN Presenter | Muc-Off
