Product Details & Geometry

Roman Gravel Frame XXV

The Roman Gravel Frame XXV frameset is the starting point for a proper gravel and adventure build.

A light carbon chassis with modern gravel geometry, big tyre clearance and sensible standards for long-term ownership.

It’s the same platform we use for complete Gravel F XXV bikes, stripped back so you can choose your own groupset, wheels and finishing kit.

If you want to build a premium carbon gravel bike that doesn’t look like every big-brand catalogue option, this is your Roman.

Who this frameset is for
The Gravel Frame XXV is ideal if you:
• Want a custom gravel or bikepacking build with your own choice of kit
• Are upgrading from an older frame but keeping a favourite groupset or wheels
• Ride a mix of lanes, bridleways, farm tracks, forest roads and South Downs-style trails
• Prefer an all-day comfortable position that still feels efficient when you push on
• Like the idea of riding an independent UK performance brand rather than a mega-brand

It’s for riders who want one frame they can set up for winter training, gravel adventures and loaded trips without feeling under-biked.

Clearance and capability
This frame is built around serious tyre room and versatility:
• Clearance for big-volume 700c gravel tyres – ideal for 40–45 mm, with scope to go wider depending on rim/tyre combo
• Room for modern wide-internal rims, so you can run lower pressures for grip and comfort
• Designed to feel stable and predictable on loose descents and technical sections, not twitchy

You can build it as:
• A fast, racy gravel bike with 38–42 mm tyres
• A rough-stuff and bikepacking rig with 45+ mm tyres and bags
• A hardy winter/training bike that doesn’t flinch when the road ends

Carbon, T47 BB and modern standards
The Gravel Frame XXV is designed as a high-end gravel chassis you can live with for years:
• Light carbon frame and fork – tuned to give you a responsive, lively feel without beating you up on long, rough rides
• T47 threaded bottom bracket shell – a modern, wide threaded standard that’s stiff under power, creak-resistant and easy to service, with loads of crank options
• Internal routing – hoses and cables run inside the frame and fork for a clean look and better protection from the elements
• Flat-mount disc brakes & thru-axles – standard modern interfaces to keep wheel and brake choices simple and future-proof
• Mounting points (where applicable) for bottles and luggage, so you can add cages and bags for long rides and trips

Everything’s chosen to balance performance, practicality and ease of servicing – this is a frame any competent workshop will be happy working on.

What’s included with the frameset
The Roman Gravel Frame XXV frameset is supplied with the matched components you need for a cohesive, premium build:
• Roman Gravel XXV carbon frame
• Matching carbon gravel fork
• Roman seatpost (and/or gravel cockpit parts, depending on spec)
• Small parts and hardware for internal routing and thru-axles

That gives you a clean, consistent look and feel across the whole front end and rear triangle, and lets you focus on picking the right drivetrain, wheels and finishing kit for your riding.

Roman Support
When you buy from us you get:
• Help choosing the right size and bar/stem setup
• The option to pair your bike with a gravel-specific bike fit so your position is dialled from day one
• UK-based workshop support for servicing, upgrades and repairs
• Cycle to Work / salary sacrifice options available on many builds
• UK-wide delivery or collection from our base near Lewes

“I’ve ridden a lot of bikes over the years from big-name brands to custom builds but the Roman Aero has genuinely surprised me. The first thing that stands out is how balanced it feels. It’s aero and fast when you’re on the gas, but still smooth enough to hold speed over rough roads or longer efforts. The front end feels planted really confidence-inspiring on descents and when you sprint, there’s no hesitation. You can feel every watt going straight into forward motion. Paired with the Laminar wheels, it’s properly rapid. The whole setup feels like it’s been designed by people who understand racers not just engineers or marketers. After a few weeks of racing and training on it, I can honestly say it’s a bike I’d happily race all season. It’s quick, comfortable, and looks incredible in the black finish. Roman have nailed it.” Ollie Peckover UK Road & Time Trial Winner | Roman Bikes Ambassador

Chris Opie Roman Superlight Review “I’ve ridden a lot of bikes in my time from pro team setups to the latest test bikes in the industry and the Roman Superlight instantly felt like a proper race bike. I only had an hour on it, but that was enough to know it’s the real deal. The response when you accelerate is sharp, and the handling feels dialled in straight away light, fast, and composed. You can tell it’s been built with racers in mind. It’s the kind of bike that makes you want to push harder the moment you get on it.” Chris Opie Ex-Professional Cyclist | Former GCN Presenter | Muc-Off
