Product Details & Geometry

Roman Gravel F XXV

The Roman Gravel F XXV is our do-everything gravel and adventure bike.

Designed for long South Downs days, rough lanes, bridleways, winter training and loaded bike-packing trips.

It combines a light carbon frame with modern gravel geometry, big tyre clearance and a wide-stance fork so you can run proper off-road rubber and still feel fast and in control when things get loose.

If you want a premium carbon gravel bike that doesn’t look like every big-brand catalogue bike, this is your Roman.

Who the Gravel F suits best
The Gravel F XXV is ideal if you:
• Spend time on lanes, byways, farm tracks, forest roads and bridleways
• Want one bike that can cover winter training, weekend exploring and bike-packing
• Like a position that’s comfortable for long rides but still feels efficient when you push on
• Want a carbon gravel bike from an independent UK performance brand rather than another mainstream logo

It’s the Roman to pick when “any road, any track” is more your style than pure tarmac racing.

Big clearance, big capability
The Gravel F frame and fork are built around serious tyre room:
• A maximum tested clearance of 700x48c – perfect for 45–48 mm gravel tyres on modern wide rims.
• Supplied with Vittoria Terreno Dry 45 mm tan-wall tyres – quick on hardpack and tarmac, grippy enough for a lot of UK conditions.

That gives you options:
• Go fast and light with 38–42 mm tyres for mixed-surface speed
• Fit 45–48 mm rubber for chunkier, looser trails and bikepacking
• Run lower pressures for comfort and traction without worrying about clearance

Geometry you can live on all day
The Gravel F XXV is designed to feel:
• Stable and predictable on descents, loose corners and technical sections
• Comfortable for long rides and loaded bikepacking
• Still efficient and responsive when you put power down on smoother sections

It strikes a balance: not a twitchy race bike, not a sit-up-and-beg commuter – just a properly sorted gravel machine for real-world riding.

Carbon frame, T47 bottom bracket & modern details
The Gravel F uses a high-quality carbon frameset with details chosen for performance and practicality:
• Light carbon frame – approx. 1.1 kg in size medium for the bare frame, giving a light but tough starting point for a serious gravel build.
• T47 threaded bottom bracket shell – a modern, wide threaded standard that’s stiff under power and easy for any good workshop to service, with loads of crank options.
• Full internal routing – hoses and cables run cleanly inside the frame, fork and one-piece bar/stem for a tidy, aero look and better protection from the elements.
• Included carbon fork, bar/stem and seatpost – colour-coded components supplied with the frameset keep the build cohesive and premium.
• Removable front derailleur hanger – run 1x or 2x cleanly without an ugly, unused mount.

Everything is aimed at giving you a high-end gravel chassis that’s fast, quiet and future-proofed.

Thoughtful spec for UK gravel
Stock builds use proven, gravel-specific kit chosen for performance and reliability:
• Shimano GRX groupset options
• GRX 2x12 Di2 825
• GRX 1x12 Mechanical 820
• GRX 2x11 Mechanical 600
• Laminar Gravel Carbon SL wheelset – lightweight, strong carbon gravel wheels designed to work perfectly with wider tyres.
• Vittoria Terreno Dry 45 mm tyres – fast-rolling, tubeless-ready gravel tyres that suit a huge variety of UK surfaces.
• Profile Gravel bar tape & gravel-specific cockpit for comfort and control on long, rough rides.

We can tweak builds to suit your riding – from fast, racy setups to tougher, more bikepacking-focused builds.

Colour & finish – Moss Grey
The Gravel F XXV comes in Moss Grey – a deep, understated finish that looks premium in all light conditions and hides the worst of UK grime.

Graphics are subtle and timeless, so your Roman still looks sharp in a few years’ time, not tied to a single model year trend.

Roman Support
When you buy from us you get:

“I’ve ridden a lot of bikes over the years from big-name brands to custom builds but the Roman Aero has genuinely surprised me. The first thing that stands out is how balanced it feels. It’s aero and fast when you’re on the gas, but still smooth enough to hold speed over rough roads or longer efforts. The front end feels planted really confidence-inspiring on descents and when you sprint, there’s no hesitation. You can feel every watt going straight into forward motion. Paired with the Laminar wheels, it’s properly rapid. The whole setup feels like it’s been designed by people who understand racers not just engineers or marketers. After a few weeks of racing and training on it, I can honestly say it’s a bike I’d happily race all season. It’s quick, comfortable, and looks incredible in the black finish. Roman have nailed it.” Ollie Peckover UK Road & Time Trial Winner | Roman Bikes Ambassador

Chris Opie Roman Superlight Review “I’ve ridden a lot of bikes in my time from pro team setups to the latest test bikes in the industry and the Roman Superlight instantly felt like a proper race bike. I only had an hour on it, but that was enough to know it’s the real deal. The response when you accelerate is sharp, and the handling feels dialled in straight away light, fast, and composed. You can tell it’s been built with racers in mind. It’s the kind of bike that makes you want to push harder the moment you get on it.” Chris Opie Ex-Professional Cyclist | Former GCN Presenter | Muc-Off
